Australia's Hunter Coast

From Catherine Hill Bay to Port Stephens, 60 km of spectacular coastline and beautiful beaches.

Of major interest is the small historic City of Newcastle with it's convict sites and heritage buildings located on Port Newcastle at the mouth of the Hunter River.  The city runs up the hill to the Obelisk, Christ Church Cathedral and the old Tower Light, and steeply down again to walkways and foreshore dining on the harbour foreshore where you can watch the famous tugboats working.

To the west historic Maitland and Morpeth and Hunter Valley Wine Country an hour away; to the south huge Lake Macquarie and the Watagan Ranges; to the north Upper Hunter horse country, the Barrington Mountains and beautiful Port Stephens, famous for oysters and whale watching.

A whole world of sights and activities in the Hunter Region, so close to Sydney, so accessible by air from Brisbane and Melbourne.
